What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that enables AI assistants to securely connect to external data sources. Instead of copying and pasting data into your AI chat, MCP allows Claude and other AI clients to directly query your EmailPilot account.
With the EmailPilot MCP server, you can ask your AI assistant to:
Review campaign calendars — “What emails are scheduled for March?”
Check revenue goals — “How are we tracking against our Q1 targets?”
Analyze product performance — “Which products are our top sellers this month?”
Get creative guidelines — “What subject line patterns work best for this brand?”
Review pending approvals — “Are there any campaigns waiting for my approval?”
Quick Start
Get up and running in under 5 minutes:
Generate your MCP token Go to your Organization Dashboard → Billing tab and click “Generate MCP Token”.
Copy the configuration After generating, you’ll see a JSON configuration snippet. Copy it.
Add to Claude Desktop Open ~/.claude/claude_desktop_config.json and paste the configuration.
Restart Claude Desktop Quit and reopen Claude Desktop. You’ll see a hammer icon (🔨) indicating MCP tools are available.
ℹ️ Free Demo Mode: You can try the MCP server without authentication using the demo brand “Faceman’s Coffee”. Just omit the EMAILPILOT_AUTH_TOKEN from the config.
Getting Your MCP Token
Your MCP token is a secure credential that grants your AI client access to your EmailPilot data. Tokens are valid for 90 days.
To generate a token:
Log in to EmailPilot
Navigate to Organization Dashboard → Billing tab
Find the MCP Plugin for Claude card
Click Generate MCP Token
Copy the generated configuration snippet
⚠️ Keep your token secure. Your MCP token provides access to your EmailPilot data. Don’t share it publicly or commit it to version control. If compromised, regenerate it immediately from the Organization Dashboard.
